Is Your Nervous System Depleted?

Chronic stress isn’t always obvious especially if it is something we have learned to live with.

The good news is your body will always show you when it needs a break even when your mind won’t recognize it first. Stress is depleting to the body, especially to nerve tissue. Paying attention to the body can help you recognize when you are:

  • pushing yourself

  • avoiding something

  • overworked

  • overtired

  • burned out

  • fearful, anxious

  • living in sympathetic mode (fight or flight)

  • taking in too much

  • overstimulated

First, let me introduce the Majjā Vaha Srotas, or better known as the nervous system and bone marrow channel

  • This channel includes the nervous system (central, peripheral, sympathetic and parasympathetic), bone marrow and connective tissue.

  • This channel governs all communication with sensory stimuli including both motor and sensory responses for all five senses: taste, touch, smell, sight & sound.

  • Motor function, tone, power, coordination and equilibrium are all maintained by the Majjā Vaha Srotas.

  • Our sense organs are how we get information about the world. They protect us!

  • Always be checking in on these organs: eyes, ears, nose, tongue & skin. Ask how they are doing! Awareness and observation of the sense organs is what allows us to stay connected to our body, our mind & and our environment.

Here are the top 9 signs that your nerve tissue needs replenishing:

  • dizziness

  • memory loss

  • anxiety

  • tingling, numbness

  • tremors, tics or spasms

  • darkness around the eyes

  • nerve pain

  • speech disruptions

  • cracking, popping, stiffness, swelling or pain in the joints

If this sounds like you, working one:one with a holistic health practitioner (like me!) can help you identify the root cause of your symptoms and develop an individualized plan for healing.
